To add a new episode to the “Episodes” and “Home” page, follow the below steps…
Before you start, open two new tabs (or windows, whichever you prefer) in your browser. In the first window, login to your BATV WordPress Dashboard, in the second, login to your vimeo.com account. Keep both these windows open throughout these steps.
Step #1:
While logged into WordPress and in the Dashboard, locate the “Pages” button on the Dashboard’s left sidebar and click it. Once on the “Pages” screen, locate the page titled “Watch the latest BATV Episodes” in the list of pages and click it.
Step #2:
Here, you’ll see the existing content of the Episodes page in the page editor’s main text box, with a Vimeo video url sitting between the “vimeogallery” tags (pictured below). To add a new video, you will need to login to your Vimeo account. However, keep the WordPress “Episodes” page editor open in a separate window, as you will return to it shortly.

Step #3:
Once logged into your Vimeo account, locate the video that you want to place on the “Episodes” page and go to its public address (as if you where going to watch the video like a regular user), then copy and paste that video’s url from the browser bar (pictured below). Keep this Vimeo video’s window open, as you will need to return to it in later steps.

Step #4:
Return to the WordPress screen with the “Episodes” page editor open, locate the existing vimeo video url, put a space directly beneath it to make room for the new video url and paste the new video’s url into it (pictured below). Then, spot the blue “Update” button located to the upper right of the screen in the “Publish” box to update the page. If done correctly, your new video should appear directly after (to the right of) the older video on the “Episodes” page.

Step #5:
Now that the new video is on the “Episodes” page, you need to make sure that “HD” quality is enabled and that the video is styled correctly for the BATV site. To do this, return to the window of the Vimeo video you kept open and locate the “Embed” button (pictured below) within the video area itself. Click it.

Step #6:
A new window should pop-up. Locate the “(Change Settings)” link (pictured below) near the bottom of the new window, and click it.

Step #7:
You should now be on the “Settings / Embedding” page. Now, you simply need to apply the “Preset” I made earlier specifically for the BATV site. To do this, locate the “Presets” drop-down in the lower middle of the page (pictured below), make sure the drop-down is displaying the “BATV site embed” setting, and then click the “Apply to all my videos” button (also pictured below) to apply the correct style to your video. You will need to do this to each new video you add.

Step #8:
If you want your new video to have HD quality enabled on the BATV “Episodes” and “Home” page, check the “Default this video to HD” checkbox near the top of the “Settings / Embedding” page (pictured below). Once both Step #7 and #8 are complete, locate the save changes button (also pictured below) and click it. Again, keep this window open, as you will need to return to it one more time.

Step #9:
Now, return to the WordPress Dashboard window you kept open and locate the “Home Page Air Times/Video” button in the Dashboard’s left sidebar and click it. Once on the “List of Tables” screen, locate the “Video” table title and click it.
Step #10:
Here, locate the “A” column in the “Table Contents” area (pictured below).

Step #11:
Then, enlarge the box by clicking on it’s corner and dragging it open (pictured below) to view its contents.

Step #12:
This is the embed code that allows the video on the “Home” page to appear. In the following step, you will learn how to replace the existing video with the newest episode. To start this, return to the window with your Vimeo account’s “Setting / Embedding” screen open.
Step #13:
Once again, on the vimeo.com “Settings / Embedding” screen, locate the “Get embed code” link directly above the video (pictured below) and click it.

Step #14:
A new window will pop-up over the current window. Locate the embed code in the upper box of this window (pictured below, code highlighted in blue), select and copy it.

Step #15:
Return to the WordPress Dashboard screen with the “Video” table opened, and paste the embed code you just copied into the “A” column box (pictured below, existing code highlighted in blue), but make sure to erase the existing embed code first.

Step #16:
For the last step, you need to make sure the new embed code will display the video in the correct size. To check this, locate the ‘width=”456″ height=”257″‘ line in the new embed code now in the “A” box (pictured below, target code highlighted in blue). If the width and height are as pictured below, then leave it. If not, replace the incorrect numbers with “456″ for the “width” and “257″ for “height.”

Step #17:
Finally, locate the blue “Update Changes” button directly above the “A” box and click it to update the table.
If all is done correctly, your new episode should appear on both the “Episodes” and “Home” pages of bowhuntingaddiction.com
